A page for interesting photographs of birds other than D-List species that have occurred in Glamorgan.
These may be wing-tagged, darvic ringed, pelagic species at inland sites, confusion species or unusual behaviour.
Red Kite at Fochriw 11th April 2010 taken by Andrew Webber, showing a pinkish wing-tag with No. 64 [Any ideas of where it was ringed? Thanks to Geri Thomas for passing on the photo.]
Choughs at Whiteford, Gower. Although not a description species, still a scarce species in Glamorgan [P. Parsons].
Wrecked Manx Shearwater at Nantyffyllon, Maesteg. [P. Parsons]
A Little Egret at KNNR [Jul 2011] that has been feeding in water probably with iron oxides hence the colouration of the neck & head. This bird was mistaken for a Squacco Heron until corrected.
